Spring Week, one of the most exciting events at Notre Dame, kicks off Monday, April 18th. Student Government has planned a week filled with themed dress days and fun activities, including De La Baie Fest on Friday.

Student government planned to organize dress days as keeping with the tradition of past Spring Weeks. Due to popular demand, Dip Day is also being brought back,” says Student Body President, Josh Wiesner. “And, even though it isn’t technically during Spring Week, the Food Trucks and Lawn Master games are meant to get students in the mood for Spring Week.”

This year’s Spring Week theme is “Field of Dreams.” The charity that will be benefiting from NDA’s week of fun is the Green Bay Diocese Parish in the Dominican Republic. Student Government also wanted to incorporate the In Communio motto that Notre Dame has been promoting throughout the school year.

“The goal for the week is to rally the students around a sport that is beloved by both nations. While at the same time showing the care and kindness that we as a Catholic community have here at NDA,” says Wiesner.

To end the week of festivities, De La Baie Fest is held on the Friday of Spring Week. Students will be let out of class early to enjoy an afternoon filled with fun activities. These activities include the annual dodgeball tournament, 3-on-3 basketball tournament, and ping pong tournament that are run by Mr. Masarik and other faculty members.

As well as the tournaments, each club at NDA will be participating in its own way throughout the event. For example, German Club will be providing burgers, brats, cotton candy, and snowcones.

Spring Week and De La Baie Fest are always exciting events for students and staff at NDA and this year will definitely be no exception.
