open-house-2016Notre Dame Academy is kicking off its recruiting year for the class of 2021 tonight with an Open House from 6-8 p.m.

The Academy is expecting over 100 families from the G.R.A.C.E system and public schools to attend the event.

“Enrollment is the driving factor at Notre Dame. A significant enrolling factor is that we have a Catholic environment and focus on college prep,” said Sarah Vangrunsven, Notre Dame Academy’s Associate Director of Admissions.

Registration for the new school year starts at 5:30 or families can pre-register on the Notre Dame Academy website.

Four optional information sessions–Tuition Grants and School Choice, Academic Curriculum, International Baccalaureate Programme and Learning Resources–will take place during the Open House..

Ken Flaten, Vice President of Business Operations and Karen Konop, Director of Enrollment will hold the first session from 6-6:40 p.m. and 7-7:40 p.m. in the library.

NDA principal Dr. John Ravizza will hold the second session in the auditorium from 6:45-7:05 p.m. and 7:20-7:40 p.m.

Matt Schultz, IB Coordinator will hold the third session in the classroom P102 from 6:45-7:05 p.m. and 7:40-8 p.m.

Cassidy McGowan, Learning Resource Specialist, will hold the fourth session from 6:45-7:05 p.m. and 7:40-8 p.m. in the classroom P100.

Tours of the school will be conducted by the NDA Student Ambassadors and an assortment of displays and informational centers will be available for extracurricular activities and athletics.

“The students make Open House work because people want them in the school. They want to hear from the students what it is like here,” said Vangrunsven.

Notre Dame Academy employees will be available in the Commons or lunch room to answer questions, and NDA apparel will be offered in the school store.
