Senior Ben Lelinski used creativity and talent to win the coveted title of Mr. NDA.  With an introductory video centered around the Cinderella story and a fairy godmother that looked a lot like Mrs. Amy Stover, Lelinski then sang “Piano Man” with the inspiration of a helium balloon.

The talented group of competitors included Ryan “Fuzz” French, first runner-up; Paul Gapinski, second runner-up; Max Pallini, Mr. Congeniality; Jack Allen, Sam Drake, Elliot McGinnity Schneider, Andrew Gruesen, Jon Fry, Alex Ruiz, Charlie Lemkuil, Eric Weycker, Theo Van Straten, Mitch Chosa, Sam Nennig and Jack Flis.

“In 22 years I’ve never seen the show from the audience,” said Mrs. Carolyn Brown, one of the teachers connected with Mr. NDA.  “Now I know why it’s so popular.  It was a terrific performance.”

For the 8th year Jake Gerlikovski headed the tech crew and provided a stunning coordination of lights and sound.

“The work the tech crew does makes the show so spectacular,” said Brown.  “It is amazing how many former participants have contacted me about the show, who won and how things went.  Many of them would not believe how much Mr. NDA has changed as a performance.”

“The real credit for its expansion into such a production must go to Frau Laaksonen.  She’s daring and bold and creative.  Student Government is a whole new ball game under her direction,” added Brown.
