NDA students and faculty added a new Pro-Life Club this year, a club devoted to promoting the lifegiving stance on abortion.

Senior Sydney Ditscheit said the idea to start this club came from the March for Life this past March.

My group was looking for ways to continue the pro-life mission here at home after the march, and we came up with the idea of having a pro-life club here at school,” said Ditscheit. “It turned into reality with the help of Ms. Frederick and the support of the administration and other students, and I’m excited to see the fruits of it.”

The mission statement they follow is to “educate peers on the value of life from conception to natural death,” said Ditscheit.

The inspiration is to have a place where people who value the stages of life come together, raise support, and give back to the community.

Their club goals are to educate peers, to help struggling mothers, to enhance how important prayer is in respecting life and to clarify the meaning of pro-life.

Their current goal is to go to Washington D.C. to attend the March for Life this upcoming March.

“We also plan on making and donating fleece blankets to children, struggling mothers, or families, and we hope to decorate the bulletin board with pro-life pictures and messages,” said Ditscheit. “Some future activities include watching a pro-life film, such as Meet the Robinsons, and giving out cupcakes with a pro-life message.”

Everyone is welcome to join and should email Sydney Ditscheit or Ms. Frederick through their school emails.

Their meeting for the March for Life event is next Monday for those interested in attending. Their regular meeting times will vary.
