Taco Bell’s Baja Blast Freeze Evaluated, Touted
February 25, 2019
Taco Bell’s Baja Blast Freeze is arguably the best drink that has ever been sold at any fast food restaurant. Available all year round and perfect for every situation, this cheap delicacy can be easily obtained exclusively at any Taco Bell location.
In August of 2012, select Taco Bell locations began selling Baja Blast Freeze, “an icy Freeze variant of (Mountain Dew) Baja Blast with similar physical properties as the restaurant’s pre-existing Frutista Freeze product line.”
Since January 31, 2013, they have been on the menu permanently. With the current popularity, they are on track to stay on the menu for a long time.
I’m a Baja Blast enthusiast and drink an unhealthy amount of them per week. It is a staple drink in my diet. I even joked in a tweet that “I am made up of about 80% Baja Blast Freeze.” I never drink soda at my house and rarely when I am at restaurants, but there is something about the contrast of the baja blast taste with the texture of the slushie that makes me want to have one with me at all times.
If you have not had a Baja Blast Freeze before, I urge you to get one sometime this week and share your thoughts in the comments below. However, one important thing to consider is that the quality of them slightly differ at each location.
As a Baja Blast Freeze connoisseur, I feel like it would be beneficial to share my knowledge upon others. I hope this guide helps.
Mattea’s Guide to the Best Taco Bell Baja Blast Freeze Locations:
- Velp Ave: •Perfect flavor •Perfect ratio of Baja to ice •The perfect slushie texture- small ice chunks but not overwhelming •Has always been a consistent location •Highly recommend
- S Broadway: •Incredible flavor •Potential for greatness •Some days this would definitely take the number 1 spot, but the Baja-ice ratio is inconsistent •Con: Lid has come off TWICE and spilled all over my car, so possibly faulty cups/lids
- Monroe Rd: •Great flavor •Nice texture and ratio •Not much to say really except it’s good
- Babcock Rd (Ashwaubenon): •Good flavor •Texture is pretty good •Nothing really stands out
- S Oneida St: •Close in comparison to location 4. •Conveniently by the mall •Taste is mediocre
- W Main Ave: •Not the best flavor to be honest •Texture is okay
- W Mason St: •Weird lids- flat instead of a dome •This means less overall baja •Texture too soft- more like a Sam’s Club coke slushie texture •Doesn’t give you that good baja blast flavor •Disappointing
