Evelyn Rickards, 2023 NDA graduate, now attending St. Norbert, is back to work on the set of Annie.
Life for her at St. Norbert is going great.
“I’m really enjoying it and the many classes I can choose from,” said Rickards.
Right now, she is currently an art major with a minor in theatre.
“I enjoy getting to meet new people through classes and the many social events that I attend,” she added.
Rickards missed being able to do the set construction and costumes with her mom, Mrs. Joey Rickards who works in the Main Office.
“When she asked for my help with this production, I was more than happy to help,” said the art major.
The adjustment to college has “so far been pretty good.” She is thankful to be close to home and being able to go home whenever she wants or when she needs something.
“I really enjoy having my classes spread out throughout the week because it allows me more time to hang out with my friends, do homework and extracurricular activities,” said Rickards.
On the set, she works alongside her dad, who has been a big help with the larger construction, and Lina Stachura, who has been painting much of the backdrops. Sophomore Stella Starry and 2023 alum Saul Guevara also have been helping paint.
Rickards just wrapped up Pride and Prejudice at SNC as a light board operator, and she described it as a “fun experience.”
