Sophomore Vinnie Giovanetti is known for being on the football team, but many don’t know his passion for photography.
His interest began when his older brother A. J. Giovanetti, health teacher and weightlifting coach, mentioned getting a Go-Pro camera for their fishing adventures.
“The videos didn’t strike me as much as photos,” said Giovanetti.
He turned to taking pictures, and his dad bought him his first camera.
Giovanetti photographs a variety of subjects, including aviation, wildlife, landscape and stars.
The shots he takes are uploaded to the NDA yearbook, used for his dad’s business, or uploaded to his personal instagram.
“I can’t play football forever, but this is something I can always do,” said Giovanetti.
He hopes to one day become an electrician and pay for more expensive photography equipment. He currently uses a Crop Sensor Canon camera.
“Photography is something I can always do. I don’t care if I make money from it. it is just something I love to do,” said the sophomore.
Recently, Giovanetti took photos of the varsity boys hockey game as well as PowderPuff in October.
