Athletic intern Connor Handrick recently started his position at Notre Dame.
Handrick will be working with Athletic Director Mr. Koening until the end of July and get to learn more about a career in sports.
Handrick graduated from NDA in 2022 and is now a college student at Ripon College double majoring in Finance and Sports Management, with a minor in coaching.
“My duties as an intern are to help out in any way possible that they need throughout the day,” he shared. “I also get to observe and shadow to see what they are doing on a daily basis.”
Handrick said that he wants to work in athletics because of his passion for sports and wanting to make an impact in the future.
“Being a student-athlete at Ripon College on the men’s soccer team, I also feel like I would enjoy working in sports and having a career that is surrounded in some way with sports,” he added.
He shared that he enjoys being back at his old high school, even though it is in a new role.
“It is nice being back from college at NDA and seeing all of my old teachers again. It is also a little different because I am seeing it from a new perspective as a staff and not a student,” said the intern.
