Anna Shaut is a former student of NDA who graduated in 2019 and ended up in Tampa, Florida, where she earned a degree in Business Marketing.
“Florida was beautiful and fun,” Shaut said when asked about her time in college.
Although she loved the weather, and it was a big factor in her change, she also moved for the opportunity to make new experiences.
“I wanted to do my own thing for a while,” she explained.
“Going to college so far away makes you try new things, make new friends, ” Shaut said.
She studied microeconomics, marketing strategy and statistics, so she could be qualified to work in business.
Shaut’s favorite memory from NDA was the Academy Awards in 2018 where she was the first ever girl to participate.
She did a popular skit and made many people laugh, but not everyone was happy about her involvement.
“Some boys were very angry towards me,” Shaut said.
Now Shaut is back in Green Bay after all this time, and she is working for her family’s business, Taylor Creek.
Her job is to manage the store, control the inventory, and watch the employees.
“I’m just trying to be helpful,” she said.
Shaut is also an athlete, and she participates in snowboarding, golfing, and playing softball.
During her time at NDA, she was a member of the French Club and choir.
“Notre Dame Academy was so fun,” she told the Journalism class.–Reagan Larson
