Tritonfest 2016 Called Big Success
March 11, 2016
Tritonfest, Notre Dame Academy’s biggest fundraising event, was held on February 20 in the Lambeau Field Atrium. Tickets were $100 per person.
The money raised at Notre Dame’s Tritonfest is used to lower the cost of tuition at the school.
What most people don’t know is that every student benefits from the money raised at Tritonfest. Even those who don’t sign up for financial aid are benefitting from this fundraiser.
“NDA Tritonfest 2016 was a special evening with outstanding results that directly support faith-filled learning at Notre Dame Academy,” said committee chairs Cheryl and Barry Martzahl and Mary and Hans Schaupp in a recent email.
At this year’s Tritonfest, there were more than 100 student volunteers, more than 80 parent volunteers and 470 guests. The students helped with the mass held beforehand, coat check, selling raffle tickets, greeting guests as they arrived and performing.
“There are no words that can truly describe my appreciation to all of the volunteers and community supporters. I am honored to be a part of the NDA family,” said Mr. Geno McKenna, director of events and alumni relations at Notre Dame.
This year Tritonfest raised $257,283. That’s a 111% increase from last year’s Tritonfest.
At the event many items were auctioned off in both the oral and many silent auctions. Guests could win items such as four tickets to Adele’s concert in Chicago, a full set of braces, a rooftop party at Titletown Brewery, dinner with Bishop Ricken, NDA faculty lot parking pass, golfing trip to Arcadia Bluff’s in Michigan for the day via private jet, HJ Martin and Sons $5000 of flooring and many others.
Over 200 items were auctioned off in the silent auction.
“Items are generously donated by friends and family of NDA as well as our community businesses,” said Mr. Geno McKenna, an organizer of the event.
“We could not have achieved these awesome results without the talented volunteers who helped plan the event, organize registration, provide technology, publicize the event, secure donations and design an elegant evening,” said the chairpersons.
