Juniors Kinsey Gallagher and Charlie Gerstner are stepping up to help their classmates with college applications as College Counseling Peer Mentors.

College Counseling Peer Mentors–C.C. Mentors–help students with their college applications, answer questions and provide support with tools like Naviance.

“We are an extension of Ms. Bain, but she is the one who makes all of this possible,” said Gertsner.

Both Gallagher and Gerstner prepared by working with Ms. Bain and learning about the college application process themselves.

“My most important step of preparation is gaining experience and understanding the college admissions process as I am going through the same process myself,” said Gallagher
.
Gerstner got an early start on his own applications, while Kinsey attended meetings and learned from current senior peer mentors.

Next year, Charlie will be busy as the Senior Class President, running cross country and performing in the school musical. Despite his packed schedule, he’s committed to helping his peers with their college applications.

Gallagher plans to be available to help students with any questions they have about the application process, ensuring everyone meets their deadlines.

Gertsner and Gallagher aim to make the college application process easier for their classmates, offering support and guidance every step of the way.
