Preview Night for incoming families will take place on Thursday, November 7, from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
“Preview Night is a great opportunity for prospective students and families to get a glimpse into all NDA has to offer,” said Enrollment Coordinator Ms. Cassidy Hempel.
Families that attend will have the opportunity to hear more about NDA academics, learn the enrollment process, take a tour of the school, receive a glimpse into the athletics and club opportunities offered, and meet other prospective families.
Tours will be offered during this time.
“We are excited this year to highlight our newly completed Model Classroom and future renovation projects such as the Atrium to future families,” said Hempel.
The tours will focus on other parts of the school such as the library, commons, chapel, Triton Center, music classrooms and auditorium.
The Triton Transition Troup, or T3, will be assisting with Preview Night.
“T3 Leaders will be giving tours of NDA, greeting families as they enter, and assisting families at the photo booth,” added the enrollment coordinator.
A program in the auditorium will kick everything off for the night. It will highlight NDA academics, the IB curriculum, the Career Program, and funding opportunities for families.
The night will go as follows:
5:30 PM: Registration and Welcome
5:45 PM: Presentation in the Auditorium
6:15 PM: Club and Athletics Fair, Building Tours, and the School Store will open
7:30 PM: Preview Night concludes
“There are so many benefits to having Preview Night for our prospective families. One of the major benefits is being able to provide the most accurate and up-to-date information on our academic curriculum, career preparatory programs, funding opportunities, and student involvement in clubs and athletics,” said Hempel.
Having the clubs and athletics at Preview Night is a great benefit since it gives students the opportunity to explore their own interests and meet current students involved in each program.
It also adds a sense of community.
“Families and students can meet people from other schools or areas that they may have never had the chance to interact with prior to Preview Night,” said Hempel.
