Tritonfest, NDA’s largest fundraiser, is successful, according to Assistant Director of Development Claire Teitz, due to the hard work of many dedicated people.
For Tritonfest, the Triton Center was transformed into a gorgeous venue, with help from the Tritonfest committee and Mr. Jake Gerlikovski.
A variety of lighting and special effects really added to the atmosphere.
Arnol Castellanos Perez, junior at NDA, gave the Fund the Future speech and earned plenty of praise while inspiring the donation of $38,650.
The success of the event wouldn’t have been possible, said Teitz, without the efforts of key contributors, including co-chairs Mrs. Courtney Peirce, Mrs. Bridget Hein, and Mrs. Rachel Aitkin.
Mrs. Phuong Hudson and her team were responsible for a great list of auction items.
“We always have different auction items that can cause excitement. Of course, we had a puppy again which always makes for a great Tritonfest,” said Teitz.
Other parents helped with decorations and registration. Student volunteers, 30 of them, were also a big help in making sure everything ran smoothly.
Tritonfest raised over $255,000 this year, including almost $39,000 for tuition assistance.
The event brought together families, staff, and supporters of NDA and made many new connections while raising funds for not only students but teachers as well.
