The second biggest fundraiser is not making as much money as it should be.
Phone-a-Thon is NDA’s second largest fundraiser after Tritonfest. Students call alumni, parents and friends of the NDA community asking them to donate to our school.
Unfortunately, the fundraiser has not been as successful as previous years due to the lack of student volunteers.
“We’ve had really disappointingly small turnouts so far this year – only 3 to 4 a night. Ideally, we’d have 10 every night. If you can, sign up,” said Mrs. Claire Teitz, who is the Assistant Director of Development.
When I went to Phone-A-Thon I had a positive experience. I received service hours, made great memories with my friends and developed my social skills. I encourage people to sign up in groups to make the experience more enjoyable. If you have a day available, why not use it to help the school?
Clubs are also encouraged to sign up and can win 5% of the earnings for the night they’re there.
The date for Phone-A-Thon has also been extended to November 16. I ask anyone who is interested to give it a try and help our school.
