As a student here at Notre Dame Academy, I have experienced many lunches.
During lunch, students including myself, often feel tired and would like to have a boost of energy to help us get through our afternoon classes.
Until recently students have not been able to have a caffeinated beverage unless they brought one themselves.
The lunch ladies at NDA have come to the realization that students and staff members should have the opportunity to have a coffee drink at school
The addition of the coffee bar has proven to be very popular amongst students and staff members, but has left one problem.
The only issue with the coffee bar is that it has only been open in the morning before school but not during the school day.
I understand why the coffee bar is only open in the morning because it is very loud to make the drinks, and the noise would disrupt students with study hall in the commons.
I believe that if the lunch ladies came up with an alternative solution, making it possible to serve coffee drinks during lunch, it would become even more popular.
If the lunch ladies opened the coffee bar during lunch, staff members and students would both benefit because they would be able to have a little caffeine before their afternoon classes to keep them awake and focused.
