Alvin Alvarado, senior: “Public Performance. It’s one of those classes that will teach you a ton, but it isn’t your typical class. Going to class isn’t something that you dread but rather it is the peak of the day just because it is so unique, interactive and fun. The way to get a good grade is just to try your best and to be yourself.”
Grace Borys, senior: “One class I would highly encourage all underclassmen to take is Public Performance! Mrs. Gilson is an amazing teacher and she makes it super fun! It also helps with the life skill of public speaking!”
Ella Gelb, senior: “I would encourage underclassmen to take IB History. You learn how to become a better writer, researcher and analyzer.”
Megan Gelb, senior: “One class that I would encourage underclassmen to take is IB History. Although there’s a lot of reading and writing, the class has improved my writing and research skills. The group work projects are fun and unique as well.”
Caine Nelson, junior: “I encourage underclassmen to take A/V Productions because it is a hands-on class instead of the generic sit-and-listen class. Also, it gives you real-world job experience, with all the responsibility of a real job implied.”
Charlie Gerstner, senior: “Public performance. It is the most fun class that NDA has to offer, and it’s the reason that I joined the musical.”
Madeline Hilts, senior: “I would encourage all underclassmen to take Sociology. It was one of my favorite classes I’ve taken and the group of kids was so fun! You also get to have Mrs. Campbell.”
Tinamarie Coronado, junior: “I would encourage underclassmen to take Children and Family studies when they have the opportunity due to the fact that you learn important information that will help you in your future, specifically on how you can be a good and understanding parent.”
Owen Schwarten, senior: “It’s gotta be IB History. In IB history you learn how to research, and you learn how to write strong arguments and support your ideas. It’s also made me a much better writer, which was one of the original reasons I took the class.”
Audrey Owusu, junior: “I encourage underclassmen to take PPS because it teaches students essential life skills, encourages self-reflection, and helps students understand their strengths while setting personal goals. Additionally, the class introduces college and career planning, giving students a head start on their future.”
Reagan Gosa, junior: “ The class I would encourage underclassmen to take is PPS because it is a great way to help narrow down what careers you’re interested in.”
Greta Fangman, senior: “Take art because it’s fun and you won’t know if you’re interested in it until you try it.”
Morgan Gokey, senior: “I would recommend people to take Sociology with Mrs. Campbell. It is a really fun class and you learn about the world around you. I also recommend students to take PPS. You learn lots of useful information to apply to the real world as well as you can have opportunities for apprenticeships for college classes.”
