Cabaret Night 2025 did not disappoint!
And what is Cabaret Night at NDA?
It is students stepping out of their comfort zone to sing or dance or play a musical instrument in front of parents, grandparents and peers.
It is a night full of surprises and amazing entertainment. Can you believe Ethan did all that with a yo-yo?
It is an art show of student work with students explaining why they did this or that in their art project.
It is students seeing their teachers displaying little-known talents, such as singing or playing drums.
It is discovering we have a bagpiper in the building, a concert pianist, a Show Choir that should be performing on television–and a tireless tech crew who manages sounds, lights and all the movable pieces on the stage.
Cabaret Night is the enthusiasm of friends for their classmates who sing, dance or play musical instruments. Can you believe how many people were making videos of acts?
Cabaret Night is Charlie Gerstner pumping up the crowd . . . and the crowd on its feet when the teacher band plays.
Beaming parents and teachers. . . laughter and applause. . . seniors taking the auditorium stage for the last time. . . and all of us realizing this place is home, a place to be proud of.
Cabaret Night is so many people, such as Frau who writes the script thanking others involved, giving so much of their time to make the evening special.
Cabaret Night is appreciating who we are, what we do, and why we care for each other.
