“I know Nichole (Hunter) will be a great addition to the team,” said Notre Dame Athletic Director Matt Koenig.
Nichole Hunter has been no stranger to NDA, and now she is here as the Assistant Athletic Director.
Hunter has two sons, Miles, who is currently a junior here, and Emmett, who graduated NDA in May 2024. She has also been involved with the NDA Booster Club and has volunteered for countless hours.
For high school, Hunter attended Green Bay Preble.
“I grew up here and went to Preble High School. NDA was a big rival,” she said.
In college, Hunter actually studied music. She mentioned that she once wanted to be a rock star, but eventually, the duties of being a mom altered her path.
For the past 19 years, she has worked at the YMCA and at Green Bay East High School.
“At East, I was on the event staff for over 15 years. That job had me doing a lot of game day management like I will be doing here,” she explained.
She continued, “My job at the YMCA was, and still is, Nationally Certified Personal Training in strength and conditioning, along with being a Group Fitness Lead instructor and First Responder.”
In her new role at NDA, Hunter said, “I will help facilitate student-athletes, families, coaches and staff to have the best possible experience with NDA’s outstanding athletic programs.”
Hunter described her new role as a dream opportunity.
She concluded, “I am honored to be in the building. I am grateful for the opportunity, and I look forward to the year ahead! GO TRITONS!”
