Senior Grace Borys has officially committed to play volleyball at Rider University in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
She fell in love with volleyball in the 5th grade and is excited to continue pursuing the sport.
“What I love about my sport is the competitive nature, the team atmosphere and all the bonds you create with teammates and coaches,” she explained.
Borys’ decision to commit was driven by the university’s welcoming environment and coaching staff.
“They immediately made me feel at home and I knew right away that that’s where I wanted to be for the next four years,” she said.
As for academic pursuits, Borys plans to major in Behavioral Neuroscience and minor in French or sociology.
She plans on attending medical school after obtaining her undergraduate degree.
Borys is most excited to travel around the east coast, make new friends and study what she loves most.
However, she is still nervous for the new chapter of her life.
“I am super nervous about being so far from home as my family is super important to me,” Borys admitted.
Her official signing to commit will be November 13, and the school celebration is yet to be determined.
