Senior Mia Miller is a four-sport athlete participating in tennis, cross country, swim and track. Miller has been on the varsity team all four years for all four sports.
Miller’s favorite sport to play is tennis, which she has been playing for 12 years. Her NDA tennis team qualified for the team state tournament. She herself qualified for individual state at number two singles.
As a captain and successful tennis player, she received second team all-conference honors for number 2 singles.
In addition to her athletic endeavors and taking her academics seriously, Miller mentioned how NDA has helped her with her faith journey.
“In high school, I started getting involved in faith opportunities which helped me create a better relationship with God,” said the senior.
As a busy high schooler and with cross country and tennis season overlapping, Miller explained how the Notre Dame community helped her as a student athlete by being there for her during busy times.
“The NDA community is involved and interested in how the sports teams are doing, which I think is fun for all of the athletes at the school,” she said.
Accomplishments in sports, such as a PR for cross country or winning a tough tennis match, are what drive Miller as an athlete and push her to keep going, keep competing.
To top off her fall season of several sports, this week she will be running with the girls cross country team at state.
