“Baseball players fail seven out of 10 times but still come back successful and positive,” said Drew Siudzinski, NDA senior and UW-LaCrosse baseball commit.
Siudzinski started playing baseball when he was 3 years old. “I started at the YMCA T-ball camp,” he said.
Since then, he has fallen in love with the game and is currently playing third base and pitcher here at NDA.
Third base is known as the “hot corner” in baseball due to hard-hit balls towards the third base line.
One of the setbacks Suidzinski encountered was his leg injury. He shared that he was doing rehab for seven months but bounced back and won All-Conference honors his junior year.
The biggest challenge with baseball other than his leg injury, he explained, is the mental side of the game.
“I try not to get in my own head too much,” said the senior.
Siudzinski’s competitive mindset and leadership skills led him to commit to UW-LaCrosse on October 28.
“The winning nature and culture really stood out to me,” said Siudzinski. “Their program is very successful,”
“I am very thankful for my parents and all the time they put in to make me successful,” said Siudzinski.
