Ben Zabriskie, valedictorian of the Class of 2020, plans to attend Georgia Tech and major in aerospace engineering.

“In ten years I hope to be working for a large aerospace company like Boeing or Lockheed Martin,” he said.

Something nobody knows about Zabriskie is that he is not originally from Green Bay. Born in LaCrosse, he lived in La Crescent, Minnesota, until his family moved here in 2005.

“I will definitely miss some people from NDA,” he said,  “and I do not think I will ever have quite the same experience as being on a high school sports team.”

While at NDA he was involved with Soccer, Tennis, Intramural Basketball, Model UN, Math team and Chess club.  He also co-founded the Computer Science Club.

“NDA has provided me with the opportunities to grow both academically and as an individual,” Zabriskie said.

Among his favorite memories while at Notre Dame were the service trips to Canton, Mississippi, and Jamaica.

He said, “Nothing specifically inspired me to be a dedicated student, but I have always enjoyed learning, and being a good student is a by-product of that.”
