Academy Chatter: What clubs have you joined and why?

Maggie Otradovec, senior: “Drama Club and German Club because I like theatre, and I joined German Club as part of the leadership board, and I like working with Frau.”
Emily Hoeppner, freshman: “Drama Club because it’s fun.”
Alexandra Van Dreel, senior: “I joined Book Club because I love to read, Drama Club because it seems like a great way to de-stress and Environmental Club because I want to make a positive impact on my community.”
Joey Bonadonna, sophomore: “I am in Tritones because I was looking for any opportunity to be in choir at The Academy.”
Triston Behrend, sophomore: “I am involved in intramural basketball because I enjoy playing basketball but am not good enough to play on the actual team.”
Nick Massabni, sophomore: “I am involved in Model UN to improve my public speaking ability as well as working on the ability to collaborate with others to come up with a viable solution to the problems presented.”
Felix Neta, sophomore: “I am in German Club because you get cheese curds.”
Sean Manning, sophomore: “I am in Jazz Band because it is fun to play big band music.”
Rio O’Toole, senior: “Drama Club because it seems really fun and entertaining, French Club because I’ve been in it for three years and I enjoy it, German Club because I always hear people say how fun it is, and Trap Team because I’ve wanted to join it since it started back up and I hunt.”

Reid Milton, senior: “I am in French Club and German Club because I take French and all my friends decided to help out in the leadership roles there. For the German Club, Owen Brummel asked me to join and I did because I know the t-shirts they have are pretty cool.

Emmett Lawton, freshman: “I am in the Health Club this year to learn about medicine. I have also joined the Trap Team and Spanish Club just to do something different.”

Mia Lemkuil, freshman: “I joined ASTRA to do service, Environmental Club to help with the environment, Sting Cancer because of my sister Sydney, who is an officer, and Health and Medicine because I’m interested in that career.”
