Freshman Making Her Mark on Girls Varsity Basketball

“We have a pretty good team this year, and I think there is a good chance we will win state again,” said Peyton Musial, a student at Notre Dame Academy.

Musial is a current freshman at NDA on the girls varsity basketball team.

After losing only one game in the 2021 season, NDA girls basketball went on to win the state championship, beating Reedsburg 68-56.

As of the 2022 season, Notre Dame holds a record of 5-1, losing their second game to Appleton East 63-45.

However, NDA is still undefeated in their league and defeated top-ranked Division I Hortonville Tuesday night.

“We all put in a lot of effort and try our best at every game and practice,” said Musial.

Although she’s only a freshman, Musial has been getting looked at by top colleges since the start of the season.

Some of these colleges include Arizona State, Illinois State, University of South Dakota, and others.

Although she is only a freshman, we can only wonder where she might end up.
