NDA’s Tritonfest fundraiser returns on Saturday, February 10, in the Schneider Triton Center to help lower the cost of tuition.
“Tritonfest helps bridge the gap between what it costs to run the school and what families pay in tuition for the 2023-24 school year. We like to call Tritonfest a ‘friend-raiser’ because it is a great way for families to get involved at NDA and make connections with other families,” said Mrs. Claire Teitz, Assistant Director of Development at NDA.
It costs $12,000 to educate one student at NDA. Tritonfest brings that price down to $7,800 per student. Besides bridging the tuition gap, the funds raised at Tritonfest go towards regular operating expenses.
This year’s theme is Give for Good, which has remained “the same theme for the past few years so that people can easily recognize it.”
Grant-a-Wish is returning this year for NDA’s teachers and staff. Faculty and staff can submit wish-list items for their classrooms, work areas or clubs to the Tritonfest committee through a Google form.
Tritonfest attendees can view the wish list items on an online mobile bidding app. Guests can then grant wishes by purchasing the items directly online. The Tritonfest committee will order and deliver the wishes to the faculty.
“We have the same set of parents leading Tritonfest this year as we did last year,” commented Teitz.
Mrs. Debbie Ruggles and Mr. Jeff and Mrs. Mary Burich have been the chairs since 2022. Mr. David Cuene and Mr. Jairo Rios joined as chairs in 2023.
After raising over $400,000 last year, Teitz hopes to raise $450,000 during this year’s Tritonfest.
