Which teacher at NDA has the empathy, zeal, and humor to engage students and make learning exciting – but, wait, don’t all NDA teachers have these traits?
It is that time of year where students can nominate teachers for the Golden Apple Award. Teachers can be nominated as individuals or in teams. Only eight recipients from the community will be selected from a large pool of nominees by the Greater Green Bay Area Chamber after being judged and going through a multi-level screening process.
The Golden Apple Award looks for teachers who demonstrate leadership, foster learning, and exhibit creativity and innovation in their classrooms. I believe every teacher at NDA demonstrates these qualities and is deserving of this award.
Students can nominate a teacher by going to the Golden Apple Award website and filling out the online form by December 1st.
The student body should be grateful for the dedication our teachers have put in to help us grow educationally and spiritually. I would not be who I am today without the faculty and staff at NDA.
Unfortunately, I feel my peers do not express their appreciation properly, but there are actions we can all take to do so. A simple “thank you” to your teachers after each class is an easy way to show your appreciation. Being respectful and following directions also communicates that you value their teaching.
I encourage all my fellow classmates to take these simple steps to express our gratitude to the teachers and faculty at NDA because they are all perfect in their own unique ways.
