“We have only won one game this year, but our biggest achievement is the improvement our guys have made,” said junior Nicholas Gruesen.
Gruesen has been playing lacrosse for three years and is proud of how far boys lacrosse has come in those years.
“Most of our team didn’t pick up a stick until this year, so the fact we started with guys who don’t know where to stand to a team that can keep up with teams who have guys that have been playing for years is incredible,” he said.
Senior David Sack and sophomore Thomas Chosa are two outstanding players on the team.
Sack has been a captain for three years in a row.
“He is the best and most skilled on the team,” said Gruesen.
Sack has shown leadership and encouraged the team to push forward.
This year was Chosa’s first year playing lacrosse, and he has already made his mark on the team.
“He has improved the most out of anyone and can shut down guys who have been playing for many years,” said Gruesen.
With long hours of practice, dedication, and patience the team has become stronger.
“Come out and join lacrosse,” the junior urged. “There are many new people every year, and it is so much fun.”
