The NDA Dance Team, almost halfway through their season, will compete at the WACPC state competition in LaCrosse on Saturday, February 1.
They will be performing their D4 Poms routine, according to senior Lidiya Schneider.
Last weekend, they were headed into regionals and had an outstanding performance that locked in the opportunity to compete at the state level.
“The competitions have been going well with many good performances,” said senior dancer Maddie Hilts.
A few weekends ago, the team placed in Poms at the Kaukauna Invite.
They also had two girls place individually in solo routines–Hilts and Sydney Miles.
“We have been practicing a lot and really pushing each other to make sure that we can present the best possible performance for the remainder of the season,” said Hilts.
Does any team practice more than the Dance Team?
“Their dedication and willingness to practice and practice never ceases to amaze me,” said veteran English teacher Carolyn Brown.
Schneider more or less explained that work ethic, saying, “My drive comes from my desire to grow. I find my motivation in looking at the journey I have been on these past four years. This always pushes me to try harder, be stronger and keep moving forward.”
