Notre Dame’s Academy Ball took place this past Saturday, May 2, at Stonewood Event Venue.
I attended with a group of friends, amongst my junior and senior peers. It was my first Academy Ball, and I couldn’t have had a better experience.
This was definitely a highly anticipated event and was looked forward to by many people.
Getting a new email from Frau with details and looking at the Academy Ball website, made me so excited!
Seeing all the planning, detail reminders, and ticket sales that went on made me truly grateful for the amazing Academy Ball planners we have.
A big shout-out goes to Frau Laaksonen, Mrs. Holly Hinch, Mrs. Arielle Browne, Sra. Crystal Dory, Mrs. Caitlin VandenWyngaard, and many others who helped make Academy Ball possible.
Doors opened at 6:30 with dinner beginning at 7 p.m. Stonewood Event Venue was very elegant and fitting for the occasion and attire worn by everyone.
Dinner included baked chicken, beef tips, mashed potatoes, stuffing, gravy, sweet coleslaw, roasted fresh vegetables, dinner rolls with butter, and a house salad. It was delicious.
As for the dancing, it started a couple of hours in. Once the tables were moved, the dancefloor was revealed, and the music started. Fun songs and everyone dancing really made the experience worthwhile.
