Senior Adam Guyette recently committed to UW-Oshkosh to play basketball and further pursue his basketball career.
Guyette chose Oshkosh because of the proximity to home and the coaching staff.
“ Ultimately, it felt like it was the right place to be,” said Guyette, who said he already knows some players and other recruits who will be his teammates.
Since third grade Future Tritons basketball has been a big part of Guyette’s life.
Some career highlights include being selected second team all-conference last year, as well as placing fourth at the WIAA State 3-point tournament.
Guyette continuously shows up across the stat board as leading the boys basketball team at NDA in points. Indeed, he has had the leading stats in eight games so far this season.
“I love basketball because it is a team game, but played individually at the same time,” said Guyette in expressing his love for the game of basketball.
Guyette finds that the demands of the NDA curriculum have helped him with his time management skills.
“I have had to work on time management, to both compete at a high level and to get work done in the classroom,” said Guyette.
The senior credits the boys basketball team and program for developing his career and allowing him to find his love for the game, which has pushed him to take it to the next level.
His goal for playing at UW-Oshkosh is to stick to his roots: “Compete as much as I can, and just be me.”
