The Notre Dame Academy girls basketball team kicks off their “Goin’ 4 It” season at home on Saturday at 4:30 pm.
Notre Dame is set to play Pewaukee. Last season, Pewaukee took down Notre Dame 68-67 in the season opener. They met again in the state championship where Notre Dame won 64-49 to claim their third consecutive gold ball (second year playing Pewaukee in championship).
“We have the squad,” said Assistant Varsity Coach Eliza Campbell,“but they have weapons to give us some trouble.”
Notre Dame currently has three college basketball signees and multiple more talented players.
Similarly, Pewaukee has two players committed and more young skilled players to complete their roster.
“I respect them a lot. I like it when you can tell that teams like to win, and they like to win. It will be a very high tempo game,” said Campbell.
Whether it’s Notre Dame fans, Pewaukee fans, or general community members, there should be a good crowd. People will come to watch this highly anticipated game.
