Softball Players Start Season with Enthusiasm, Optimism

Softball+Players+Start+Season+with+Enthusiasm%2C+Optimism

The NDA softball team begins practice this week. After finishing 3-20 two seasons ago, and 12-16 last year, the team is looking to continue their improvements. Some of the players shared what they are most excited about as this season begins. 

Stella Starry, sophomore: “The games and bus rides.”

Ella Gelb, junior: “Seeing our growth and potential.”

Hattie Compton, freshman: “Making friendships and memories…and, of course, the game.”

Megan Gelb, junior: “Watching our team grow.”

Ella Nowak, freshman: “Getting to play with some new people.”

Jaedyn Mueller, sophomore:Making new memories and hopefully beating our record from last year.”

Maddie Hilts, junior: “To learn and grow as a player and a person.”

Madison Siminski, sophomore: “Bonding with friends.”

Ava Massey, senior: “Senior night!”

Emma Jahner, sophomore: “Getting back on the field with the team.”

Emma Ciak, sophomore:To get to play a sport this year and return from injury.”

Charli Lewis, freshman: “Playing with friends.”

Bella Sleger, freshman: “To play on a new team, meet new people and improve my softball skills.”

Skylar Hess, freshman: “Getting high school playing experience.”

Addy Simpson, sophomore: “Having Ava Parker as a manager.”
