How does it feel to have a girls lacrosse team?

It is very exciting to start a girls lacrosse team. I have missed coaching and this helps to make things feel more normal after covid.

What makes lacrosse different from other sports?

Girls lacrosse is different from other sports because it is a fast-paced sport with limited contact. This forces the athletes to have strong stick skills, speed, and footwork.

Does playing with different schools make a difference in your team?

I think having our program open to other schools allows us as a team to build a community beyond NDA. This helps us come together as one in Green Bay and help grow the sport.

What is the hardest and easiest thing about lacrosse?

The hardest part of lacrosse is learning the rules as a new player because they can be slightly overwhelming. I think the easiest part to learn would be stick skills. They take  time but once you get them down it is easy from there.

What is your role as the assistant coach?

I help out with practice, team gear, figuring out field time, uniforms and many other things.

How does playing in college change from high school?

The game doesn’t change a lot from high school to college. There are a few rule changes but the overall game is the same.
