Greg Young Crowned Mr. Titletown 2015

With supporting cheers from fellow Tritons, Greg Young danced and charmed his way to the 2015 Mr. Titletown crown–and a $2500 scholarship.

As Mr. NDA, Young was one of nine area competitors in the contest sponsored by Partners in Education of the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce.

The senior performed the same “towel dance” with junior Nick Robinson that they performed for the December Mr. NDA show.

Robinson, along with seniors Sam Liegel and Gus Dennis and sophomore Charlie Urick, modeled tuxedoes for DuBois Formalwear, one of the major sponsors of the show.

Senior Tess Gapinski was Young’s escort for the formalwear portion of the show while NDA alum Katie Phernetton, now the CW Star for WLUK, was one of the emcees.

Mr. Titletown is described as a “competition of the winners of the local Mr. Man style competitions held at participating Partners in Education high schools.”

Contestants are judged in five categories:  talent, Q & A, audience participation, formalwear and ticket sales.

Other high schools sending contestants were Bayport, Denmark, Preble, Southwest, East, Oneida Nation, NEW Lutheran and West DePere.

“Although I knew Greg deserved to win, I was nervous because there was some strong talent in the group of competitors,” said Mrs. Julie Campbell, one of the advisers for Mr. NDA.  “It was good to see so many NDA students there to support him.”
