Club Fair is returning on Friday, October 15, after two years without it. This event gives students an opportunity to learn about all the different clubs Notre Dame has to offer and how they can get involved.

The fair will take place during lunch and will have student-run booths with information about different clubs. This format allows students to learn about clubs they might want to join from their peers, face-to-face.

Students are encouraged to eat lunch right away so they have time to explore the options of clubs, and maybe even sign up for a few.

“There’s something for everybody and it’s a great way to get involved with school and be connected,” said Greg Masarik, associate principal, and organizer of the club fair.

“You may not love every single class that you have to take — that’s part of being in school, but if you have an interest that you are more passionate about, here’s your chance to do that,” he added,

The fair will also have a “best of show” contest that will reward the club with the most engaging booth.

“The most creative and interactive booth” says Masarik, “is going to get $100 for their club.”

All NDA approved clubs will automatically be considered in the competition if they have a booth at Club Fair. To keep it fair, he competition will be judged by teachers who are not club moderators.

“This is an opportunity for clubs to explain to people here’s what we do,” said the associate principal.

Masarik encourages students to attend Club Fair with an open mind.

“Don’t be afraid of trying something new,” he said. “You can always go and if you really don’t like it, you don’t have to go back again. If you sign up, you’re not making a lifetime commitment to this thing.”

Along with attending the Club Fair, students can learn more about the extracurricular activities NDA has to offer by visiting: https://www.notredameacademy.com/students/clubs-organizations

“You never know,” he said, “you might find something new that you really enjoy doing that you had no idea about before.”
