Ten NDA students took a day off school for a vocation trip to St. Norbert Abbey led by Fr. Jordan and Fr. Johnathan. 

Attending were Andrew Broullire, Arnol Castellanos, Dom D’Angelo, Lane Ertman, Charlie Gerstner, Miles Hunter, Shaun Huss, Owen Prosser, Eli Weiss and Ben Wolcanski. 

The day started with a morning prayer alongside the Norbertines at the Abbey. 

“Afterwards we had breakfast followed by a pop quiz about what we knew about the Norbertines and about St. Norbert College,” said Wolcanski. 

“We were given a tour of the abbey and a talk with the organist of the abbey that showed us the organ and told us cool stories about the Abbey’s organ and other organs that he had played,” continued Wolcanski. 

A private Mass with just the ten participants and priests was followed by midday prayer with the Norbertines and lunch.

The day continued with a bean bag toss with some of the Norbertines studying to become priests. This was followed with adoration in the crypt of the Abbey. 

“The experience was a beautiful one, and one that I was glad to be able to experience. The best part was being able to be around like-minded people that felt a deep connection with God and exploring different walks of life together,” said the senior.
