Due to many school day cancellations this week, Catholic Schools Week at NDA has been extended until Tuesday, February 5.

Since 1974, Catholic Schools Week (CSW) has been an annual tradition across the nation, a week of celebrations, Masses and countless activities for students, families, parishioners and community members.

For this special week, NDA will be raising money for the Freedom House by selling bracelets ($2 per bracelet) and taking donations that will be used to support their work with families in the Green Bay area that have fallen on hard times.

These bracelets will be sold during both 5A and 5B lunch periods on Friday and Monday as well as the morning of Tuesday, February 5. With the purchase of a bracelet, students will be able to wear jeans with a spirit top on Tuesday.

Here is the revised schedule for the rest of Catholic Schools Week:

Friday: Morning Mass and Bracelets Sold during Lunches

Morning Mass will be held in the school Chapel at 7:30 a.m. On this day, bracelets will be sold and donations will be collected during both 5A and 5B lunches.

Saturday: Volunteering at St. John’s Homeless Shelter

We will emphasize helping those in need and without shelter for St. John’s Homeless Shelter by doing some cleaning and maintenance tasks from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Sunday: Volunteering at St. John’s Homeless Shelter

Some families and senior students will make and provide a meal at St. John’s Homeless Shelter.

Monday: All-School Mass and Bracelets Sold during Lunches

The All-School Mass, originally scheduled to be this past Wednesday, January 30, with Bishop Ricken, will be celebrated with Father Christian. Students who have been confirmed or will be confirmed during this 2019-2019 academic school year will also be recognized. This will also be the last day the bracelets will be sold during lunches.

Tuesday: Last Chance to Buy Bracelets and Jeans Day

For those who aren’t able to purchase bracelets during lunches, Tuesday morning is the last opportunity for students to buy one to participate in the jeans day.
