Visitors and students filled the floor and about half of the surrounding bleachers of the Triton Center for the annual Grandparents’/Grandfriends’ mass held the Wednesday before Thanksgiving Day.

Father Michael Brennan, who once taught at NDA, led the interactive mass.  His homily centered around the first reading from Sirach. “God wishes for us peace, joy and gratitude,” he stressed.  “All of us are beloved children of God.”

The interactive homily featured sharing by some of the visiting adults followed by the litany “God’s love endures forever.”

Following mass ensuing classes were decimated as students with visiting grandparents or grandfriends had permission to leave.  At 1:25 the day ended for the start of Thanksgiving break.
