Freshmen Katrina Dietsche and Diego Mendoza won $2,500 scholarships  at the state competition for the Optimist Club Oratorical Contest in Wausau on April 26.

The local boys winner was a student from Parkview Middle School in Ashwaubenon, but he declined to participate in the next round of competition. Mendoza gladly accepted the position.  Congratulations to both!
