“The student body should expect to see more change around campus. As the year has progressed, we have worked on many issues students have brought up from the survey we conducted,” said sophomore Senate member Ian Johnson.

The Senate works with administration, faculty, staff,  the student body and the other two branches of Student Government on various issues to continuously improve NDA. It is currently run by Crystal Dory.

The Senate has recently been split into five committees to handle school-wide issues quickly and efficiently.

“These committees consist of groups working on technology, environmental issues, maintenance, diversity and fan attendance. All of the separate groups have been working on separate proposals to fix issues in these areas,” said Johnson.

Some of these projects include working on internet connectivity, trying to make the fan atmosphere more rewarding, welcoming diversity and  working on maintenance issues that students have expressed their concerns about.

The Senate strives to be approachable and encourages students to express their questions and concerns.

“If there is anything more we can do to improve the atmosphere and student experience at NDA, please notify a Senate member or Mrs. Dory,” said Johnson.
