Since graduating from Notre Dame Academy, the school’s Marketing and Communications Manager Chelsea McKay has found her way back.

“It feels incredible to exercise my talents for the success of the Academy knowing that being a product of NDA myself has contributed to my success as an adult,” McKay shared.

Prior to being hired at NDA, McKay worked at St. Mary’s Springs Academy, a Catholic school in Fond du Lac, where she worked as the Marketing and Communications Strategist.

“I thoroughly enjoyed being in the role,” she reflected. “I was so overjoyed when I saw NDA had an opening for a similar position.”

As NDA’s Marketing and Communications Manager, McKay spearheads the school’s outreach and social media endeavours.

“In short, I serve NDA as the main contact for advertising materials, social media presence, brand recognition and communication between NDA and its constituents,” she explained.

McKay said that her goals for her first few weeks on staff are to “soak up all the information, prioritize needed tasks and work towards planning and managing a marketing/content calendar.”

Before moving back to Green Bay, McKay lived in Fond du Lac, where she earned a degree in marketing from Marian College, for over 20 years.

She also met her husband there, and the couple now has two sons.

“We are very excited for the move,” she shared. “We’re happy to be closer to family and also get some extra support that goes along with that.”

McKay also looks forward to her sons spending more time with her mom, who lives in the area.

On being employed at NDA, McKay said: “ I get to keep serving Catholic schools in marketing and communications while at the same time working for my alma mater. It’s a win win!”
