Assistant Athletic Director Anthony Schumann will be leaving at the end of this school year to work in Beaver Dam.

After 3 ½ years at Notre Dame, he is moving to Beaver Dam with his fiancee and will be working at his family’s printing company, Schumann Printers.

“My fiancee and I are getting married at the end of July in DePere. After our wedding we will be moving back to Beaver Dam where we just bought our first house,” he said.

The pair are originally from Beaver Dam and will be moving home to be closer to their own families, and both will start new jobs.

Schumann is excited about his new opportunity and adventure but is sad to leave NDA.

“I have met and gotten to work with a lot of great colleagues and parents over my time here. I have built relationships I will definitely take with me,” said the assistant athletic director.

The thing he will miss most of all is the people. He will miss coming to work and getting to see people he has built great relationships with.

“I will miss serving the students, seeing them work towards their goals in school, and extracurricular activities was definitely the most rewarding part of my position,” he added.

He doesn’t have one particular favorite memory, but his favorite memories were being able to interact with the NDA community outside of the school setting space.

“My advice would be to come in every day with a positive attitude and attack the rest of the day with the same mindset,” said Schumann.

There are a lot of twists and turns in his position.

“Being able to keep a positive attitude and reminding yourself that you are here to serve the students and coaches, to make their experience great, is what keeps you pushing forward,” he said.
