“Please donate and save up to three lives with each donation,” said Campus Minister Kelly Waters, who also mentioned fresh-baked treats would be given to donors at the upcoming drive.
The NDA drive will be conducted on May 1 for anyone who is 16 and older that can donate. Sixteen-year-olds DO need parental consent.
The blood drive is for the community because blood is always needed, and the only way people are able to receive life-saving blood is through donations.
Community Blood Center is the local organization coordinating the drive. To sign up as a donor, Waters sent out a link to everyone at NDA.
The goal for the drive is to have 40 or more people sign up since there are 40 or more slots available. The mobile unit will be parked outside the front entrance like the previous blood drive.
Last time just under 30 people donated blood during the blood drive.
Some of the treats planned to be given out are cookies and cupcakes that will be baked during NDA Serves.
