This year’s winter dance will be held in the NDA commons on Saturday, February 7. The dance is set to start at 8 p.m. and will end at 10:30 p.m. Doors for entering will close at 9 p.m.
Tickets will be sold during lunches, starting Tuesday, February 3, through Friday. Tickets cost $10, and while tickets will be available at the door, students are encouraged to buy them ahead of time during lunch.
Guest passes will be available next Tuesday and must be completed and turned in to the main office by Friday, January 30.
Although students sometimes compare this event to the former Sweetheart Switch Dance, this year’s event will continue to be called the Winter Dance. This dance is designed to be a relaxed, inclusive night where no date is required.
“Just gather your friends, get out and have fun,” said Mrs. Jennie (Frau) Laaksonen, executive director of Student Government that sponsors the dance.
The dance is semi-formal, similar to Fall Fest, giving students an excuse to dress up. There is no specific theme this year.
The gym will be open during the dance, but students planning to spend time in there must remember to bring tennis shoes.
