Spring-tacular has brought De La Baie Fest back, and it is packed with activities, food, and a competitive three-on-three basketball tourney.
School may end at noon on Friday, the 24th, but students are highly encouraged to explore the festivities NDA has to offer.
A variety of food will be available throughout De La Baie Fest. Both cash and card are accepted, but card payments will include a small processing fee.
At 12 pm, the fun begins with maze races, long shot pickleball, a student silent auction and an intense ping pong tournament.
Video games in the library are available from the beginning to the end at 2:30 p.m.
Events are staggered throughout the afternoon, so students can enjoy each activity without worrying about missing out on others. Almost all events will be in the Alumni Gym, Triton Center or the Commons.
At 12:15, the Teacher Trivia Kahoot is available to join, and at the same time the Jarritos ring toss starts up.
Following these events, the anticipated three-on-three basketball games are scheduled to take place at 12:20. All teams have already signed up for this event, and there can be no walk-in players.
Both students and teachers participate in this competition, and the champions receive all the bragging rights. All basketball games will be played in the Triton Center.
Classic yard games begin at 12:30 in the alumni gym, lasting until 2 pm. At 1:00 pm, Bingo begins and finishes up in time for the most musical part of the day.
Teacher Karaoke commences at 1:30, and these are lyrical ballads students will not want to miss. Listen to your teachers unleash their hidden musical voices in karaoke form.
De La Baie Fest is unique to NDA, and student attendance is critical to keep this tradition alive. If there is low student attendance, there is no need for a noon dismissal.
Without the coordinators of this event, there would be no festival of recreation and relaxation. Mrs. Jennie Laaksonen, Mrs. Holly Hinch and Mrs. Gina Fredrick are the planners and organizers for the event.
NDA school clubs have graciously sponsored most of the events for students to participate in and volunteered to run the various activities.
The timing of this event is perfect to get some energy out with your friends while being entertained in almost every way.
