May 23, 2026, will be the seniors’ official last day once the graduation ceremony concludes. But that bittersweet moment is followed by an extraordinary event organized by NDA parents.
Senior Send-Off will take place at Notre Dame that same night, starting at 8 p.m. and concluding around 1 a.m.
“I go to Senior Send-Off every year to take pictures for the newspaper,” said veteran English teacher Carolyn Brown. “It is something I will not miss because it is a night of total fun. Students are enjoying themselves, the food is unbelievable, and there’s more stuff to do than you can ever get done.”
Seniors must purchase a t-shirt to attend this event, as the shirt is the ticket to the function. The shirts are sold during both lunch periods in the Commons concession stand.
Funds are set aside for those needing any assistance with purchasing a shirt.
The parents of the seniors plan this entire event, deciding on the entertainment to book, the food and drinks available, and the prizes to award. This night would not be possible without these dedicated parents.
The food options are yet to be announced, but will be available closer to the event date.
All revenue is used directly to make this night as special as possible for the seniors. In past years, there have been VR stations, card stations, mechanical bulls, magicians, and multiple prizes seniors can win.
The main goal of Senior Send-Off is to host a final get-together for the class. Although some seniors will see each other at college, that is not the norm for most.
“Other schools don’t do this, and it is a last memory and an opportunity to hang out with people you may not see again,” said Ms. Eliza Campbell, NDA’s alumni coordinator.
Seniors should take this night as their own and celebrate with the people they’ve made it through high school with.
