Last year, I had the amazing opportunity to apply to be a Triton Transition Troupe (T3) leader.
The application reads, “Looking to be part of the group that helps new students feel comfortable, acclimated, and excited to attend Notre Dame Academy?” and that is exactly the type of leadership opportunity I was looking for at NDA.
The purpose of the Triton Transition Troupe (T3) is to demonstrate leadership by serving as role models for new students to NDA and welcoming new faces to our school whether they’re freshmen, exchange students or transfers.
There were various events and opportunities for T3 leaders throughout the summer and this school year such as 8th Grade Grad Party at the Buzz Social (Bowling Alley), summer enrichment camps for incoming 5th-8th grade students, summer events, Preview Night and New Student Orientation.
I attended as many as possible because I genuinely enjoyed them and thought it was very beneficial to my future peers. Through these events, I got to connect with new faces and have conversations with people I may have never had without T3.
I found T3 to be the perfect outlet for my outgoing personality and social skills. The experience provided great leadership lessons. I hope to be selected as a T3 leader again for my senior year.
