Senior football player Braedon Curtin recently announced his intent to play college football at Carroll University, a D-III institution just outside of Milwaukee.

Curtin, a captain on this year’s football team, finished with 46 tackles, two forced fumbles, one interception and a defensive touchdown while also being named FRCC-South Linebacker of the Year.

After a stellar junior season this past spring, where he also led the team in receiving as a fullback, Curtin said he started to realize his potential of playing football then.

Many teams recruited him for his talent, including local St. Norbert, but he ultimately decided on Carroll.

“It was a tough decision,” Curtin said. ”With covid affecting my time to tour colleges, I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to see all the ones I wanted to. When I toured Carroll, I really liked the staff they had there, and I really liked the area it was located in.”

Curtin is also a two-year varsity basketball player, contributing off the bench with solid defense.

Over his four years as a Triton, Curtin says NDA has taught him the value of hard work.

“Hard work will pay off,” he said. “Nothing will be given to you unless yoThat value has been noticed by his teammates as well.

“Braedon definitely deserves this with all the hard work he has put in not only the past 4 years but his entire football career so far,” fellow senior football captain and basketball teammate Keegan King said. “I’m looking forward to seeing what he will do to help Carroll’s football team. He is one of my best friends and a great leader.”

Curtin joins a 2022 class that has now produced three collegiate football prospects – himself, Daniel Hornacek and Max Rader – with potentially more in the works.
