The Triton Football team beat the Catholic Memorial Crusaders 49-28 in the State Championship game at Camp Randall in Madison, Wisconsin.
The team traveled down to Madison on Thursday afternoon where they stayed overnight.
Senior Christian Collins broke the record of rushing yards for the Division 3 State Championship games. He also scored five rushing touchdowns in the State game.
Senior Cayden Kiefert intercepted a pass from Crusaders Quarterback, MJ Mitchell, and ran it in for a 35-yard touchdown which put the Tritons up by two scores.
Senior James Flanigan made eight tackles, four of them being for a loss of yards.
Flanigan will continue his football career in the fall at the University of Notre Dame.
Senior Nicholas Gruesen made every field goal attempt, putting him at a perfect 7/7 for the game.
Collins is up for Sports Illustrated National High School athlete of the week. Vote for him as voting ends on December 2.
