The Notre Dame Academy basketball team kicked off preseason practices this week with energy and focus.
Head coach Brian “Bobo” Bobinski, now in his 25th year of coaching and fifth at NDA, is coming off a strong season where his team won regionals and made it to the sectional final last year.
“If you want to play a sport, it must be fun,” Bobo said, explaining the team culture heading into this year.
Seniors Leo Weber, Jack Warden, Alex Ciak, Micah Warren and Owen Hein are returning this year alongside juniors AJ and Austin Hendricks and Ty Baumgardner.
Bobo is known for studying a wide variety of college coaches, one being Duke Coach Mike Kryzewski, blending their ideas with his own.
The math teacher and head coach also coaches both boys and girls golf at NDA.
